On Thursday, German police fatally shot a gunman who had opened fire near Munich’s Nazi-era documentation center and the Israeli consulate, according to Bavarian Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann.
Herrmann reported that the police were compelled to use their weapons against the assailant, who was armed with a rifle and had discharged several rounds. The gunman succumbed to his injuries following the confrontation.
