The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has responded to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors who are supporting Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara. Wike asserted that the governors must be delusional if they fail to acknowledge that he is more influential than all of them combined.
Adamawa State Governor, Umaru Fintiri, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, and other members of the former G5 group were present in Port Harcourt on Saturday to attend a grand reception held in honor of Wike. The event, organized by the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress, showcased Wike’s standing and influence in the region.
Addressing the crowd at the event, Wike emphasized his authority and dismissed any notion that he was being challenged by the PDP governors. “Don’t think they’re fighting me; they are not. I’m too big for them,” Wike declared confidently.
He added, “If someone fails to recognize a person more prominent than themselves, then they are unwell. I am much, much bigger than all of them put together.”

Wike also dismissed any perceived threats, calling them empty and insignificant. He concluded his speech with a reminder of his control over the party’s structure: “I’ve said before, nobody will take over the party’s structure. You can have all the money you want, but if it’s not there, it’s not there.”
The minister’s remarks underline his dominance and resolve in maintaining his political influence within the PDP.
