To Join Africa Elite Media Team for 2025 African Junior Championships in Abeokuta
Cross River State-born journalist, Ettah Emmanuel O., has officially been accredited as one of the registered media professionals selected to cover the 3rd Combined U18/U20 African Junior Athletics Championships, scheduled to take place from July 16 to 20, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria.
Ettah Emmanuel, a highly regarded media personality, currently serves as the Media Officer at the Cross River State Ministry of Sports Development and the Cross River State Sports Commission.The Graduate of Public Administration, University of Calabar also holds the role of Media Manager at Rovers FC of Calabar and is the CEO of NaijablaseTv, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing digital platforms for news and sports content.
In his remarks, the passionate media professional expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity:

- ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Nigeria is set to host the 3rd edition of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) U18/U20 African Junior Athletics Championships at the refurbished MKO Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The championship, which is one of Africa’s largest gatherings of youth athletes, will feature over 500 athletes from more than 50 African countries, competing for continental glory. This event not only showcases future Olympic and world champions but also reinforces Africa’s growing prowess in global track and field.
South Africa, the defending champions, will be seeking to retain their crown, while Nigeria’s young athletes will be hoping to capitalize on home advantage to make a strong statement.
