Former Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, has strongly affirmed his commitment to restoring the All Progressives Congress (APC) to governance in Osun in the 2026 elections. Speaking to supporters in the state, he described the effort yet as both necessary and achievable, driven by grassroots renewal and strategic mobilization across the local government areas.
Oyetola spoke passionately about the importance of reconnecting with voters. He emphasized that APC must rebuild trust, strengthen internal systems, and demonstrate visible performance in every ward to win hearts again. He appealed to party members to set aside divisions and channel energy into cross-party outreach, insisting that governance will be central to APC’s return. People must see results in health, education, roads, markets, and security.
He did not shy away from challenging the current administration. He argued that under the existing leadership, many promises remain unfulfilled, public services have declined, and the people’s expectations have been ignored. He told listeners: the people deserve better. He urged party agents, local chairs, and all stakeholders to prepare early, pick credible candidates, and renew the party’s image at the grassroots.
During his remarks, Oyetola visited several wards to meet everyday citizens, market women, farmers, artisans to hear their concerns and assure them that the APC’s return would prioritize their welfare. He spoke in a conversational tone: “We will not reclaim power just to occupy offices.
