The wife of the former Chairman of Bekwarra Local Government Area, Mrs. Lucy Owan Emeka Ph.D, has donated food flasks and water bottles to pupils across several primary schools in Bekwarra, Cross River State.
The distribution, which took place earlier this week, brought smiles to the faces of pupils and teachers who described the gesture as thoughtful and timely, especially at a time when many families struggle to afford basic school items.
Mrs. Emeka said her decision to make the donation was inspired by her desire to support children and encourage cleanliness and proper meal habits among pupils.
“I know how difficult it can be for parents to provide everything a child needs for school,” she said.
“This gesture comes from my heart. I want every child to feel cared for and to know that there are people who believe in their future.”
Mrs. Emeka called on parents to keep encouraging their children to take their studies seriously, assuring that she would continue to support educational development in the area.
